No surprise – but it’s getting chilly here in London! The days are shorter, the sky is gloomy (for the most part) and all I want to do is have a nice bath with a good book, and later a glass of wine. So naturally my first stop this week was to Lush. Despite my obsession with baths, bubbles, and candles, I’ve never really been a Lush Fanatic (I know, shocking!). That is until recently when I bought an oh-so-yummy lip scrub from them, and I was reminded of how good their products can be.
So I went to the shop in Westfield’s Sheperds Bush (the ladies who work there are amazing by the way, super friendly and helpful without being too pushy), and left with a handful of goodies.
I’m quite impressed with their selection of limited edition holiday bath bombs and melts.
And as it’s the holiday season (and everything just seems more magical doesn’t it?) this can be the perfect present for your sister or friend who love to indulge in rich bath products.
Northern Lights Bath Bomb
£ 3.50
I’m going to start with this one simply because I love the name! I’m in love with all things stars and astronomy-wise, and seeing the Northern light is on my bucket lits, so naturally I had to grab this.
It has a very clean scent, with jasmine and ylang ylang. The lady at the store told me it explodes in a blue color before going into a neon green and topping up your tub with stars.
So White Bath Bomb
£ 3.50
This has got to be my favorite scented bath bomb out of the ones currently in the shop. When I sniffed it I was like “yes please!”.
It is a super delicate feminine scent of apple and a touch of rose, and as I’m writing this I can smell the bath bomb which is tucked away in the Lush bag on the other side of the room. It’s so so lovely that I wished I had bought two. Can’t wait to try it – thinking of maybe using it the night before Christmas, I love waking up and smelling super yum.
Pop In the Bath Bubble Bar Slice
£ 2.95
Pop in the bath is a bubble slice, which means instead of fizzing away in your bath the way the bath bombs do, you crumble the slice under running water and it fills your tub with lots of bubbles (Amen!) I’m pretty sure this isn’t part of the limited edition, so you can get it all year long. It has a very fresh citrus scent with touches of bergamot, lemon and mandarin – which sweetens it up.
Snow Fairy Shower Gel
£ 3.75 for 100g
If you are a lover of sweet scents like me, then prepare to be blown away. This shower gel smells like bubble gum and christmas candies, yet it’s subtle and not over powering. The only downside of this shower gel is that it’s limited edition. I think I better stock up!
Mask of Magnaminty Self-Preserving
£ 5.50 for 125g
I have read such great reviews about this mask that I just had to try. This is the new released self-preserving version, which means most if not all of the ingredients are natural. The site says it’s a multi-purpose mask with a mixture of gentle yet effective ingredients to clean, calm and clear the skin. Ever since I moved to London, my skin has been acting up, I’ve been getting dry patches and some spots, so I’m hoping that the honey in the ingredients and the mint properties with help with those two problems! Will definitely do a review once I’ve used this.
Let me know what your favorite Lush products are!
